The Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA) is a learning and action network set up in 2008 by social enterprises and social enterprise resource institutions and scholars to catalyze knowledge creation, capacity development, platform and movement-building for social entrepreneurship.
ISEA is a membership organization and present in the following countries: Cambodia, China, Hongkong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
As a learning network dedicated to serving the various segments of development actors that are already operating or are wanting to enter the market as an arena, ISEA aims to catalyze a critical mass of change agents capable of setting up, growing and mainstreaming social enterprises, promoting gender equality and women’s economic empowerment, and transforming the markets of Asia into arenas for poverty reduction and sustainable development.
