ISEA holds a virtual 4-Day Seminar-Workshop for Resource Persons and Facilitators on the BTP WEE in AVCs in engaging Corporate Agribusiness

A seminar-workshop for ISEA’s Experts Pool on the Benchmarks for Transformational Partnerships and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Agricultural Value Chains or BTP WEE in AVCs in engaging corporate agribusinesses was held virtually on April 19-20 and May 3-4, 2021 via Zoom platform.

The four-day virtual training for resource persons and facilitators from Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam covered by the project called Women’s Economic Empowerment Transformational Initiatives in Agricultural Value Chains or WEE TRAIN in AVCs. Intended to prepare the regional experts pool to deliver training and consulting services; the owners, leaders and managers of corporate agribusiness in the four countries who are interested to strengthen their policy and practice on smallholder inclusion and women’s economic empowerment in their respective agricultural value chains.

WEE TRAIN in AVCs aims to engage and support Gender Transformative and Responsible Agribusiness Investments in South East Asia (GRAISEA) regional partners and other key actors in strengthening the pursuit of a transformational WEE agenda among private sector players and governments in ASEAN and beyond.  Using the BTP WEE in AVCs resulting from GRAISEA1 as starting framework, ISEA hopes to pilot and replicate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and corporate initiatives that pursue WEE. The strategic intention is to develop SME and corporate models demonstrating WEE.
