ISEA President attends BSI interactive experts’ meeting in Hungary

Considered to be one of the key partners in implementing Business School for Impact (BSI), a project spearheaded by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), ISEA President Dr. Marie Lisa Dacanay participated in the BSI interactive experts’ meeting last January 25 to 26, 2016 in Budapest, Hungary.

In the forum, UNCTAD partners for BSI reviewed the parameters of the project, identified more channels to address the issues in implementing the project, and explored more potentials to engage more regional champion in the advocacy.

BSI was launched in 2014 to harness collective contribution of impact-oriented practitioners, educators, and students committed to building awareness and capacities to mobilize investment resources and management talent for sustainable development. In the Philippines, ISEA launched the project on November 4, 2015 at the Global Business School Network (GBSN) Network Conference 2015 that was held at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City.

BSI was envisioned to be a platform for cooperation among business and management schools, social enterprises, impact investors and corporations to mainstream social entrepreneurship as a strategy towards inclusive growth and also to contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goal of poverty eradication.
