ISEA’s LocNet Initiative Team joins the DCS-CNX 2024 in Hyderadad, India, conducts a technical session on Community-centered Connectivity and Innovations

Last November 15, the ISEA’s Local Network (LocNet) Initiative Team joined the Digital Citizen Summit 2024 and Community Network Exchange organized by the Digital Empowerment Foundation in Hyderadad, India.

One of the technical sessions was hosted by ISEA dubbed as “Wired for Life: Community-centered Connectivity and Innovations as part of unlocking the potential of community-driven connectivity for a digitally inclusive future. The session’s panel provided examples of best practices of the School of Community Networks in Indonesia, share important insights and perspectives from a model-building project of community-centered connectivity initiatives linked to social enterprise and local economic development in Bangladesh, China and the Philippines and perspectives in developing gender strategies in CCIs.

This session is made possible with our partner organization, Association for Progressive Communications (APC), and supported by a grant from APNIC Foundation, via the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia).
