Knowledge Creation. Capacity Development. Platform Building.
Last December 18-19, Mr Gomer Padong, ISEA Supervising Program and Development Cooperation Specialist and concurrent Asia Policy Coordinator for Local Networks (LocNet) Initiative co-moderated the CSO Forum in the preparation for the High Level Regional Consultation on Financing for Development in Asia and the Pacific. This activity was conducted in preparation for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.
It was an effort for Asia Pacific Regional Civil Society Engagement Mechanism to unpack themes such as austerity and debt; illicit financial flows and regressive taxation; public-private partnerships and blended finance; trade and investment policies; climate finance; and, digital divide, digitalization and technology.
The Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA) is working on Local Networks, an initiative with the Association for Progressive Communications and Rhizomatica around meaningful connectivity to bridge the digital divide and connect the unconnected.
