On May 7, the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA) led by its President, Marie Lisa Dacanay joined the launch of Investing in Women’s New Phase in the Philippines. #InvestingInWomen (SMART Economics) is an initiative of the Australian Government in the Philippines.
In connection with this, Oxfam Pilipinas and ISEA are partners in implementing EmpowerHer for this new phase of #InvestingInWomen. Investing in Women (IW) is an initiative of the Australian Government and works to catalyze women’s economic participation and strengthen the enabling environment for women’s economic empowerment in Southeast Asia.
The EmpowerHer Project: Embedding Gender Equality in MSME Business Praxis in the Philippines is a three-year project that aims to support social enterprises (SEs) as a segment of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) adopt diverse, inclusive gender equal and socially accountable business and workplace practices supportive of a care economy.
