ISEA presents ISEA’s pioneering research on Social Entrepreneurship as Framework for the Livelihood Component of the L&D Pillar of Climate Action during the Local Government Forum on Loss and Damage organized by Manila Observatory [Philippines]

Celebrating the International Women’s Day, ISEA President Marie Lisa Dacanay presented the results of ISEA’s pioneering research on Social Entrepreneurship as Framework for the Livelihood Component of the L&D Pillar of Climate Action on March 8, 2024 during the Local Government Forum on Loss and Damage dubbed as “Climate Change Loss and Damage: Understanding Local Needs, Endeavouring to Influence International Negotiations”.

The said event organized by the Manila Observatory was attended by local government unit representatives, who were notably mostly young women.

Initially, ISEA President, Dr. Marie Lisa Dacanay and ISEA Fellow Jay Lacsamana met Manila Observatory(MO) Executive Director Jose Ramon Villarin SJ and MO Associate Director and KLIMA Head, Dr. Antonio La Viña presented its results of an action research on “Exploring Social Entrepreneurship as Framework for the Livelihood Component of the Loss and Damage Pillar of Climate Action” last December 13, 2023.

This is a collaboration project between Manila Observatory and ISEA and we look forward to piloting the SE tools we enhanced and recommended towards Transformative Adaptation and Economic Development.
