Last October 19, the University of the Philippines – Los Baños College of Agriculture and Food Science (UPLB CAFS) successfully conducted a webinar on “Empowering Women for Food Secured Future.” This is the College’s 8th episode of the Season 7 of their Aggie Ps Talk series. In this webinar, Dr. Marie Lisa Dacanay of ISEA and Dr Catherine Sobrevega of MEDA Myanmar shared their experiences on women empowerment, agriculture, and social entrepreneurship.
ISEA President, Dr. Dacanay focused her presentation on the stories of women empowerment in agricultural value chains through social entrepreneurship and insights from action research conducted by ISEA and the Benchmarks for Transformational Partnerships and Women’s Economic Empowerment in AVCs or BTP WEE in AVCs.
