ISEA President shares tool to measure impact of social enterprise in a Bangkok Forum

Last September 8 to 9, 2015, ISEA President, Dr. Marie Lisa Dacanay has shared the use and importance of Social Return of Investment (SROI) during the 14th Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (AFCSR) held in Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

The SROI tool is a performance metrics for social entrepreneurship, that measures the impact of social entrepreneurship on the poor and in the community in Asia. To further demonstrate its use, the SROI tool was applied to the Alter Trade Group, a social enterprise in Negros that have generated significant impact on the income of among the banana and sugarcane farmers. 

AFCSR is an annual gathering for business practitioners in Asia that aims to discuss trends and innovation in corporate social responsibility in the region. The 14th AFCSR covered the theme, “Unleashing Social Entrepreneurship: New Partnerships for a Better World.”
