ISEA organizes an RTD on Benchmarks for Transformational Partnerships and WEE in AVCs at AIM

Last August 16, 2019, the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA)  organized a roundtable discussion (RTD) on Benchmarks for Transformational Partnerships and WEE in AVCs at Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Makati, Philippines. There were 12 participants (8 women and 4 men) from 7 corporate agribusinesses in the Philippines. The activity was able to gather valuable feedback to enhance the Scorecard for Corporate Agribusinesses.

ISEA is implementing the Women’s Economic Empowerment Transformational Initiatives in Agricultural Value Chains (WEE TRAIN in AVCs), a component of Gender Transformative and Responsible Agribusiness Investments in South East Asia (GRAISEA-Phase 2). The project is governed by a partnership agreement between Oxfam Great Britain and ISEA, with funding support from the Embassy of Sweden.

Based on the action research done in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, ISEA developed a scorecard for Evaluating Enterprise Practice and Adherence to the Benchmarks for Transformational Partnerships and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Agricultural Value Chains (BTP-WEE in AVCs) under Phase 1 of the project.  In the second phase, the development of the scorecards for SMEs and agribusiness corporations has taken into consideration the insights gained from the Phase 1 action research.
