ISEA, Oxfam Pilipinas conduct a learning session series for BARMM Partners

For the month of October, three (3) online learning sessions were conducted by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA) and Oxfam Pilipinas for its civil society organizations (CSO) partners in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The first learning session was about “Social Entrepreneurship and AVC Development: Some Handles” presented by ISEA President, Dr Marie Lisa Dacanay last October 8, 2021. The second learning session focused on “Supporting Economic Goals and Social Enterprise through Islamic Enterprise” presented by Rini Supri Hartanti of BAZNAS Jakarta Province in Indonesia on October 12, 2021. Lastly, Ms Vie Reyes of Bote Central, Inc. and Ms Dessy Sonyaratri of Karya Masyarakat Mandiri (KMM) Dompet Dhuafa shared significant practices and experiences of their organizations during the last learning session on October 15, 2021.

Oxfam Pilipinas and ISEA entered a partnership to work together to contribute for the attainment of the project outcomes of the WELD-Peace Project funded under DFAT Australia’s Partners for Peace Program implemented by Oxfam Pilipinas and their several partners. This learning session series was part of these efforts to support the establishment of inclusive and accountable Bangsamoro institutions that promote and support the participation of women and other marginalized groups in governance.
